OnDemand Platform — Course Administration Guide

1. Platform Overview

What system/platform is used?

The system/platform used is called OnDemand (part of the Docebo-based IIA On Demand environment).

2. Access & Authorization

How does an IIA Administrator request access if they don't already have it?

Submit a request through the Customer Service portal at the IIA Support site.

How do I sign in to access OnDemand courses?

  • Select the OnDemand link.
  • Click the "Sign In" button.
  • Sign in using your IIA Account Member/Customer ID and password.

Not sure if you have an IIA Account Member/Customer ID?

You already have an ID if:

  • You are a member of The IIA, either directly or through one of our International Affiliates.
  • You have attended an IIA event or training, or have made a purchase through The IIA.

Need help finding or creating your ID?

If you don't know your ID, visit the Reset Password page or contact IIA Customer Relations at +1 407-937-1111. You may also contact your local IIA Affiliate for assistance. If you don't have an ID, you can create one online.

3. POC Responsibilities — Before the Course

What is expected from the IIA Administrator, and on what timeline?

There are instructions on how and when to upload the Excel sheet (Certificate Revenue Form). Guidance is more limited on how to handle matters concerning course participants before the course starts, but the key expectations are outlined below.

How should an Administrator handle a course participant who is not a member?

A non-member participant represents a potential conversion opportunity. However, to access the platform, an account must first be created for that participant.

What information should be sent to participants before the course starts?

This depends on the course type:

  • COSO courses: Prework should be provided at least 5–7 business days before the class begins. The exact timing depends on when the point of contact (POC) submits the request and whether all required information is included to avoid processing delays. The process is streamlined so participants are automatically enrolled in the prework, with login instructions and platform access information sent directly to each participant.
  • IIA certificate courses: Exam enrollment is generally completed after the course concludes and the final roster is uploaded.
  • Exception – Quality Assessor course: Requires a code for eBook access prior to the course start, provided as part of the course process.

How many prework modules should a participant complete?

  • COSO Internal Control (IC): 2 modules
  • COSO Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): 1 module

By when should prework modules be completed?

It is recommended that prework be completed before the class begins.

Are the examination modules already in the system?

Yes – the exam modules are in the system.

If not, where is the examination and how is access obtained?

The exam modules are posted directly to the customer's account.

Should the participant email also be sent to IIA local?

Yes. Please send the same email that course participants receive to IIA local as well.

4. POC Responsibilities — Prior to and After Examination

  • Monitor participant progress regularly.
  • Communicate deadlines clearly.
  • Submit an accurate final roster for billing.

What should be done after the physical/in-person course concludes?

Upload the final roster for processing.

5. Invoicing

Who sends the invoice to course participants – IIA local or IIA Global?

IIA local (National Institutes) are repsonsible for invoicing the participants.

Does IIA Global invoice the local IIA a percentage of the course fee?

Yes – 30% of the course fee is invoiced by IIA Global to the local IIA, and this should be reflected on the revenue form.

6. Instructions for the Course Participant

How does a participant get access to the system?

Instructions are provided automatically once the participant is enrolled in the prework.

How does a participant complete the prework?

Refer to the prework module guidance in Section 3 above (number of modules by course, and the recommended completion timing).

How, when, and where does a participant take the examination?

Participants do not receive a link to the exam. Instead, the exam is populated directly on the customer's or participant's account.
