What does The IIA mean by “Advocacy"?

Modified on Thu, Sep 26 at 10:48 AM

The IIA utilizes the term “advocacy” to describe efforts to support the internal audit profession through public policy. The organization accomplishes this objective by establishing meaningful relationships with key lawmakers, regulators, and staff across North America.

This strategy ensures internal audit is not only aware of pertinent legislative and regulatory developments, but engaged in conversations that have a material impact on the profession.
